Below is a list of helpful sites to get you create your site. They contain anything from the basics of HTML to some more advance stuff and some tools to aid you in the process. I tried not to include everything but instead the best sites I found and frequent for each subject.

  • W3C MarkUp Validation Service -- a free service that checks documents like HTML and XHTML for conformance to W3C Recommendations and other standards.

  • W3C Link Checker -- Check the validity of the links on your site.
  • WAVE 3.0 Accessibility Tool -- online tool that provides visual feedback to Web developers by inserting informative icons into the page at appropriate locations.
  • Bobby -- this free service will allow you to test web pages and help expose and repair barriers to accessibility and encourage compliance with existing accessibility guidelines, such as Section 508 and the W3C's WCAG.
